We did it!

We finally got a picture with Santa!!!

In other news...any idea how to get a 4 month old to sleep longer than 45 minutes during the day?? He does this about 2 times a day, and by night is so miserably tired. On the plus side, he has been sleeping 7-10 hours at night :) But I just don't know how to get him to sleep longer during naptime. It's not that he's not tired, I can see it when I look at him. I think he's little brain is just too busy ;)

Friday!

It's finally Friday. The husband has another evening home...not saying that I don't want him home, but geez...it seems like forever since he's had a "regular" band schedule.
I'm hoping we'll just stay home and stay warm. Today, the word "wind chill" came into the forecast for the first meaningful time. It was 14 degress with a windchill of 4 when I finally woke up this morning! Must be December ;)

We went to see Santa last night after all. My 2 year old wasn't on the "nice" list, but our friends were going, so I said sure we'll come too. I liked the format they used - Santa wandered around the store and handed out candy to the kids. There was no line, no listening to kids cry....and even my 2 year old decided he wasn't SO bad since he gave her candy ;) It was also the grocery store's Holiday night too - free samples of some really, really yummy food and drinks! YUM!!!!
One Santa visit down, probably only one to go (here in town anyway). I'd like to have the kids visit Santa one time while Daddy is available to be with us, since I think he feels a little left out sometimes with his schedules. Maybe some Saturday/Sunday, we'll brave the mall crowd.....LORD help us all :D

Santa's coming to town...

I was encouraged by a good friend to get back into this blogging stuff. She called me the Santa information center (for our small town). For those near us, Santa will be at Coborn's today (December 3rd) from 3:30pm - 6:30pm.
He will also be at the Crow River Bank in Delano on Thursday, December 10th from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.
That same day (12-10), he will be at The State Bank of Delano from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. Looks like the kids in the area will be busy for the next few weeks!

I am so excited to have my kids see Santa. Last year, my daughter wasn't a fan...I'm hoping that we've worked on this, so maybe we can get a picture with him that doesn't look like she's scared out of her mind!! HAHA!!!
And this is my little boys' first Christmas, so I can't wait to get pictures with him and Santa!!!!
I look forward to Santa's visit every year :D
