Another year has passed us by in our lives! I'm so thankful to see another wonderful start to the year! My family is safe and sound and my friends are as fantastic as ever!! I don't have many regrets in 2011...It was a year that was fairly good to my family. Sure we had our share of death and bad news, but that's life and the circle of life continues on as we have many reasons to celebrate the years. I get irriated by people who think each year is worse than the last. Yes, it's rough, but it's called life! People should embrace the joy of getting to see another year begin (Or end).
With that being said... this year I have a few simple resolutions. I'm not going to get down on myself if I don't complete them by February as I look at each day as an opportunity to make me (and my family) better people.
1) We're going to aim to eat healthier and lose some weight. We have a lifetime of children's activities ahead of us and want to be here for them.
2) De-clutter our lives. Starting with the house and purging, then move on to people who bring us down and make us feel stressed.
3) Financial freedom (or at least start to feel it!) We are going to try and achieve this with the help of the Dave Ramsey Financial University.
4) Make time for family. We say it over and over and over... let's just do it this year!!
This month I'm going to share some Unbreakable Resolutions with you. Starting with: If you haven't yet settled on your top goals for the year, do so today. Writing down your goals (in specific terms) means you're more likely to achieve them. Everyone can do this! Don't make a list of resolutions, make a list of goals!! It's easier to achieve goals in the long run then it is to say I'm going to... and then get mad at yourself (or others) when you don't succeed! That's pretty much what this blog is for...I'm writing down my goals today :)
God bless you each and everyone as the new year kicks off!
